Sharon L. Burton, DBA, MBA, LSSBB, HCI, SWP

Dr. Burton is a practitioner and academic. She has served as Chief Learning Officer, Compliance Officer, Project Manager, Sr. Business Analyst, and Sr. Technical Writer.

For over 25 years, Burton’s leadership lives in human capital, information technology, and operations management. She managed within several fortune 500 companies, created ground-up training and development departments, informed processes and procedures, and led quality assurance and compliance departments.

Burton’s books, seminars, and presentations provided enhanced knowledge for governmental, municipal, health care, non-profit, secondary, and post secondary education organizations. Through study, performance, scripting, and experience, Delaware based S. L. Burton Consulting, LLC seeks to enrich the lives of others. She directs her activities towards encapsulating and re-contextualizing employee to customer focused behaviors, ethics and service, and transferring this knowledge into and inside organizations’ spoken and understood knowledge bases.

Dr. Sharon L. Burton authored two books. These texts allows characters to convey tough educational messages with a softer approach; consequently, a more understandable and accepted delivery. Dr. Burton earned a DBA in quality systems management, two MBA degrees, Human Resource Management, and Management,  a BS in Criminology from The Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Burton holds several diplomas from the American Institute of Banking. She is a Toastmaster, Advanced Communicator Gold level, ACG.
